Hiya, I'm really glad I have found this info. Nowadays bloggers publish only about gossip and internet stuff and this is really irritating. At the Memorial service, Witt observed that he and Bill would sometimes need reining in, by Karen. Others of Bills friends also considered themselves witty (perhaps half-witty, in reality). When Bill and I would go too far with a punathon, Karen would simply say something like "You guys are scaring me."

I first met Karen at Lewis and Clark College and will always remember her willingness to talk about my latest crush,listen to music and share numerous college experiences. It was my good fortune to have stayed in contact with her throughout the years. My heart has this hole in it that will fill with memories of her smile, generosity, sincerity and love of life. Dear Melchor-Froman Family, We will miss seeing Karen's friendly smile every time she and Bill were visiting her parents (our employer) in Los Altos Hills. Her ,unexpected passing has left us with many indelible memories as were I.e: her kind words of encouragement to forge ahead when our daughter was away in college at Willamette University.
